London Pride!

Over a week ago I was excited to go along with one of my favourite photography groups, London Photographic, to one of my favourite events of the year, London Pride. I love photographing Pride because everyone there is so joyous while expressing themselves. It’s a celebration of letting people be who they want to be, and this year I enjoyed myself there once again. I also love photographing Pride because everyone there wants to be photographed, which obviously makes it easy to take photos!

Along with London Photographic, we photographed everyone getting ready for the parade and then also the parade as it was happening, eventually ending up in Trafalgar Square hours later and doing some street photography around the crowd. As I enjoy meeting and talking to people, I could spend the entire day there, but I did eventually have to get the train back to Woking. Like last year, I left Pride with a few more Instagram followers with confirmed confidence with why I love photographing people.

I lived in London for over a decade and always told people I never saw anyone famous, but at this London Pride I saw Sandi Toksvig and the actress Siobhan McSweeney! I recognised her from Amandaland. OK, so there are celebrities all around London, I just wasn’t paying attention.

Here are a few of the many photos I took….
